Resumo

The purpose of this paper is to analyze the changes caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and the current war between Russia and Ukraine in the attitudes of the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina regarding the choice of tourist destinations. The main questions raised in this paper are: do sociodemographic variables influence the respondents' attitude about the safest tourist destinations in the current COVID-19 situation, do sociodemographic variables influence the choice of tourist destinations in Bosnia and Herzegovina during the COVID-19 pandemic, whether sociodemographic variables influence the choice of tourist destinations during the past two years and whether there is a statistically significant connection in the attitude of respondents regarding which tourist destinations they consider safer both during the COVID-19 pandemic and during the current situation of the war between Ukraine and Russia? The paper used a quantitative research methodology in a form of an online survey. The convenience sample included 265 respondents. The research results show that there is a statistically significant correlation in the attitude of respondents regarding the tourist destinations they consider safer both during COVID-19 and during the current war situation in Ukraine, while the safest tourist destinations for respondents are: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, and the rest of Europe.
