This study aims to delve into the regulation mechanism of mindfulness on anxiety among female college students. Special attention is paid to the chain-mediating effects of negative coping styles and fear of negative evaluation in this process, which is analyzed based on the method of mathematical statistical bias testing. Methods: Drawing on social cognitive theory, this study selected 350 female college students from two universities in Guangdong Province as the research sample. Data were collected using the Five Facet Mindfulness Questionnaire (FFMQ), the Simplified Coping Style Questionnaire (SCSQ), and the Brief Fear of Negative Evaluation Scale (BFNES). In the data analysis phase, descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and regression analysis were conducted using SPSS 26.0 software. Additionally, the PROCESS macro program was utilized for mediation effect analysis, with the specific introduction of mathematical statistical bias testing to assess the stability and reliability of the mediation effects. The findings indicate that mindfulness exerts a multifaceted influence on anxiety among female college students. The results of mathematical statistical bias testing further confirm the robustness and significance of these mediation effects.
