Abstract

The dignity of the human person is a source of normativity that allows an axiological opening combined with rationality and democracy for the activation of a mentality perfected by new paradigms such as sustainability and sustainable development. The aim of this paper is to analyze the cultural dimension of human dignity in constitutionalism and its contribution to corroborate a humanistic interpretation of the paradigms of sustainability and sustainable development. Regarding methodology, it used the rationale inductive through literature, initially conducting an analytical treatment of the cultural dimension of human dignity, describing problems and challenges, as well as presenting a conceptual proposal, and then correlate it with the sustainability and sustainable development ideas.

Doutor em Direito Público pela Università degli Studi di Perugia - Itália. Doutor e Mestre em Ciência Jurídica pela Universidade do Vale do Itajaí - UNIVALI (Conceito CAPES 5). Possui Graduação em Direito pela Universidade do Vale do Itajaí - UNIVALI. Pesquisador do Conselho Nacional de Justiça (CNJ). Coordenador e Professor no Programa de Pós-Graduação Stricto Sensu em Direito - IMED. Professor Honorário da Faculdade de Direito e Ciências Sociais da Universidad Inca Garcilaso de la Vega (Peru). Professor nos cursos de graduação em Direito e especializações no Centro Universitário para o Desenvolvimento do Alto Vale do Itajaí (UNIDAVI) e na Universidade do Vale do Itajaí (UNIVALI). É Mestre em Filosofia (2011) na UFSC e Doutor (2015) em Direito com dupla titulação pela UNIVALI e a Università degli Studi di Perugia. Atualmente é advogado e professor universitário.
