Abstract

O problema da relação entre marxismo e democracia foi objeto de debate na Itália trinta anos atrás. Norberto Bobbio foi o principal protagonista de um confronto que, surgindo em um período de crise do marxismo italiano, girava em torno dos problemas do Estado e da organização do Direito. Com seu método da œfilosofia do diálogo, Bobbio provocava resposTas de diversos intelectuais da área marxista. Este ensaio reconstrói aquele debate, enfatizando o papel cultural de Bobbio diante da crise de uma teoria e filosofia da sociedade então praticamente hegemônica.
