Abstract
This paper deals with the relationship between environmental disasters and human rights, advocating the construction of a right of disasters from a humanist perspective. Therefore, it studies, at first, what would be the concept of a disaster, especially from the perspective of environmental justice. In the second part, it demonstrates the limited relationship between environmental disaster and human rights at the international level, highlighting the importance of considering the environment as a human right for this connection to be established. Finally, it analyzes the importance of developing a right of disasters that includes in all its phases the protection of human rights.
