LAS RESERVAS PARTICULARES DO PATRIMONIO NATURAL (RPPN) DE BRASIL Y LA XARXA DE CUSTÃ’DIA DEL TERRITORI (XCT) DE CATALUNYA COMO HERRAMIENTAS COMUNES PARA EL DESARROLLO SOSTENIBLE

Abstract
En el ámbito del desarrollo local difundido en Latinoamérica a partir de la década de 1980, se desarrolla en Brasil un importante marco jurídico de protección ambiental. Este hito jurídico abre camino para una serie de instrumentos de tutela y control del medio ambiente, uno de ellos es Reserva Particular do Patrimonio Natural (RPPN) con el reto principal de preservar la biodiversidad. Su creación es voluntaria y exclusiva por parte del propietario, no afectando la titularidad de la propiedad. Por su vez, en la Comunidad Autónoma de Cataluña, España, existe la Xarxa de Custòdia del Territori (XCT), que es una organización sin ánimo de lucro que trabaja para impulsar el uso de la custodia del territorio como estrategia para conservar los recursos y los valores naturales, culturales y paisajísticos de Cataluña y de su entorno. De este modo, el establecimiento de estas medidas de protección ambiental se proyecta en dirección a la concreción
del desarrollo sostenible permitiendo vislumbrar una alternativa para el rompimiento del concepto de propiedad absoluta, dando espacio para la materialización de los intereses colectivos de protección medioambiental.
