Abstract

The.oil palm nurseries generally have two stages pre nursery and main nursery. This nursery system requires a large amount of topsoil. To prevent damage to the topsoil ecosystem, the study used ultisol soil based media.with ecoenzyme fertilizer. This research aims to analyze the growth and physical quality of oil palm pre nursery. The results of M1 and M2 media packages analysys have a medium fertility status. But those media packages of M3 and M4 have low fertility status. Meanwhile, the results of the growth and quality analysys of oil palm prenursery that there was no difference in several parameters between the M2, M3, M4 treatments compared to M1 which used top soil. The suitable package media as an alternative to top soil in oil palm pre nurseries is M2, which is made from 70% ultisol soil, 30% compost and 100mL ecoenzyme fertilizer.
