Abstract

O presente texto visa apresentar, de um modo bastante
breve, algumas das idéias do pensamento de Ronald Dworkin presentes em O império do direito e que constam do texto A Conferência McCorckle de 1984: as ambições do direito para si próprio. O que significa a divergência interpretativa no direito e qual o modelo apropriado para abordá-la - convencionalismo, pragmatismo ou o modelo da integridade - são os tópicos discutidos.
