Abstract

La incorporación de la inteligencia artificial (IA) en los procesos de investigación en la educación superior es un fenómeno emergente que tiene un gran potencial transformador. En un entorno donde la producción académica exige eficiencia, personalización y análisis predictivo, es fundamental explorar cómo la IA se convierte en una estrategia innovadora para mejorar los procesos de investigación. El propósito de esta revisión sistemática fue identificar, analizar y sintetizar la evidencia científica disponible sobre el uso de la inteligencia artificial en los procesos de investigación llevados a cabo en instituciones de educación superior, teniendo en cuenta su aplicabilidad, beneficios y desafíos. Se incluyeron estudios empíricos y teóricos publicados entre 2018 y 2024, como ensayos, estudios de caso y observacionales. Las fuentes consultadas fueron Scopus, Web of Science, EBSCO y Google Scholar. Se seleccionaron 32 estudios, que fueron evaluados con la herramienta MMAT para determinar su calidad metodológica. Los hallazgos indican que los tipos de IA más utilizados incluyen algoritmos de aprendizaje automático, procesamiento de lenguaje natural y sistemas de recomendación. En conclusión, la IA presenta oportunidades significativas para transformar los procesos de investigación en la educación superior. Se sugiere realizar estudios longitudinales que evalúen su impacto ético, pedagógico y metodológico.
