O QUE É? COMO É? ECOCÍDIO! UMA PESQUISA BIBLIOMÉTRICA NA WEB OF SCIENCE

Abstract

O ecocídio, destruição grave de ecossistemas pela ação humana, carece de definição legal internacional e criminalização, não obstante a crescente discussão global. Este estudo analisa a literatura científica sobre ecocídio na Web of Science. O objetivo é mapear áreas de pesquisa, autores, instituições e evolução temporal do tema, para entender o desenvolvimento do conhecimento científico e suas implicações. A pesquisa bibliométrica utilizou termos relacionados a “ecocídio” na Web of Science, analisando padrões de coautoria e evolução temporal das publicações. Os resultados mostram a predominância de publicações em Direito, Criminologia e Ciências Sociais, com interseções em temas ambientais e culturais. A maioria dos artigos está indexada no Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI), indicando periódicos promissores em ascensão. O estudo demonstra o crescente interesse no ecocídio, com foco em questões jurídicas e sociais, principalmente em inglês, destacando a necessidade de ampliar a discussão globalmente. A pesquisa se limitou à Web of Science e a artigos de 2020 a 2024, sugerindo futuras investigações em outras bases de dados e temas relacionados.
