Abstract

Este artigo trata das possibilidades e limites do trabalho como fator de integração, discutindo sua função política de controle social dentro e fora do sistema prisional. As análises são decorrentes de uma pesquisa empírica, realizada em 2003, 2004 e 2005, junto a mulheres encarceradas e agentes de Pastoral Carcerária de Belo Horizonte. Metodologicamente, trabalhou-se com entrevistas em profundidade e recolhimento de histórias de vida.
