Abstract

This article aims to present and discuss studies in the field of scientific production on the Right to Repair and its impact on the environment. A bibliometric search was carried out in the Scopus database using the terms (œright to repair OR œright repair); (œright to repair OR œright repair) AND environment; (œright to repair OR œright repair) AND sustnaib*, associated with Boolean operators. A total of 49 publications from international journals, selected in the first stage, were catalogued, resulting in a final sample of six articles analyzed, complying with the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The results revealed an evolution in the number of publications and significant growth in 2021. The area of knowledge with the highest number of publications was Engineering, and the country with the highest number of publications was the United States. This study concludes the importance of considering the right to repair, its influence on consumer behavior and its impact on the environment, an aspect that must be taken into account when formulating government and business strategies, since global borders dictate the absolute contours of repair market activities, requiring, in particular, circularity and sustainability.
