MANEJO CLÍNICO E ABORDAGEM TERAPÊUTICA DA ESTASE GASTROINTESTINAL AGUDA EM COELHOS

A síndrome da estase gastrointestinal do coelho (RGIS) representa um grave desafio clínico na medicina de animais exóticos, podendo acometer mais de 25% dos coelhos domesticados e evoluir rapidamente para o óbito se não houver intervenção terapêutica imediata. Esta revisão sintetiza as bases fisiopatológicas, a dinâmica da microbiota e os avanços na conduta terapêutica da afecção. A fisiologia digestiva de Oryctolagus cuniculus depende da coordenação bioelétrica de estruturas como o sacculus rotundus, a junção ileocecal e o fusus coli, este último atuando como marcapasso regulador da passagem de fibras e da formação de cecotrofos. A RGIS envolve mecanismos inter-relacionados, como a "via da sobrecarga" e a "via de obstrução por quimo", que desencadeiam quadros de disbiose marcados pela proliferação de táxons oportunistas como Clostridium sensu stricto 1 e Enterobacteriaceae. No manejo terapêutico, estudos demonstram que procinéticos convencionais não resultam em alterações significativas na produção fecal. Quanto ao controle analgésico, enquanto opioides como morfina e butorfanol causam retardo temporário na motilidade, o tramadol destaca-se como alternativa segura de reduzida interferência na fisiologia digestiva.
