GOBERNANZA PARTICIPATIVA Y PROMOCIÓN DE LA SALUD DEL ADULTO MAYOR: UN ANÁLISIS EN EL PRIMER NIVEL DE ATENCIÓN

La participación de las personas mayores en las decisiones sanitarias puede fortalecer la pertinencia, legitimidad y continuidad de las acciones preventivas del primer nivel de atención; el objetivo fue analizar la relación entre la gobernanza participativa y la promoción de la salud del adulto mayor en una red asistencial de Lambayeque, Perú; se desarrolló una investigación cuantitativa, aplicada, no experimental, transversal y correlacional y la población estuvo conformada por 170,264 asegurados de 60 años o más y la muestra probabilística por 599 participantes; se aplicaron dos cuestionarios de 12 ítems con escala Likert, validados por cinco expertos, la consistencia interna alcanzó alfa de Cronbach de 0.8485 para gobernanza participativa y 0.9197 para promoción de la salud; en los hallazgos predominaron valoraciones bajas en gobernanza participativa (40.6%) y promoción de la salud (41.7%), con mayores dificultades en acciones ejecutadas, coordinación y comunicación, atención integral y acceso a servicios; el coeficiente rho de Spearman mostró una asociación positiva, muy fuerte y significativa entre las variables (rho = 0.866; p < 0.001); concluyendo que una mayor planificación inclusiva, ejecución sostenida, efectividad programática y coordinación institucional se vinculan con mejores condiciones percibidas de prevención, empoderamiento, integralidad y acceso.
