Abstract

In this paper attention has been paid on the optimal and efficient fry breeding of the specie known as Colossoma Macropomum for a complete period of 5 months. Physical properties have been measured in order to characterize the sustainable and healthy growth of specie in natural environments with minimum human intervention. Essentially, the physical properties of interest in this study have been: (i) size, (ii) weight, (iii) pH and (iv) food over the first 20 weeks. The resulting outcomes were incorporated into a statistical methodology in order to provide solid interpretations of specie parameters that have impact on the growth. The fitted parameters have yielded an interesting relation to the requirements the river-based fish would have to exhibit to be marketable for human consumption.  The full methodology presented in this paper can be replied for others species inside a framework of identification for optimal species that would play an important role in the economy along northeastern cities of Perú.
