DISEÑO DE ACTIVIDADES MATEMÁTICAS PARA PROMOVER EL DESARROLLO DEL PENSAMIENTO COMPUTACIONAL

El pensamiento computacional (PC) ha cobrado una especial atención en el ámbito escolar y social debido a los recientes avances de la tecnología. Aun con el desafío de seguirle el paso a estos avances, se ha hecho un llamado a que profesores e investigadores puedan reevaluar sus apuestas de formación en educación formal orientadas a ciudadanos competentes en este panorama. La actual propuesta atiende a este llamado y, asumiendo un enfoque cualitativo basado en diseño con elementos de la teoría fundamentada, presenta, implementa y evalúa un sistema de actividades basadas en problemas matemáticos retadores, que promueve el desarrollo del PC. El diseño se fundamenta en los procesos de aprendizaje de Stephens y Kadijevich (2020), el enfoque STEM y el marco de resolución de problemas matemáticos de Mason, Burton y Stacey (2010). Los resultados indican una concentración sistemática de los indicadores en la fase de Ataque, una diferenciación clara entre las actividades que se apoyaron en el uso de código y las que no, además de la emergencia de estrategias de resolución no anticipadas en el diseño original. Se concluye que el sistema de actividades constituye un aporte metodológico válido para integrar el desarrollo del PC en un contexto matemático.
